About UP DELED
Keeping in view the objective of continuous improvement in the quality of education in the state, this department was established around 1872 in the name of Registrar Departmental Examinations, Uttar Pradesh. Before the formation of the Secondary Education Council (U.P. Board) in the year 1921, this department was responsible for all the educational examinations of the state. To provide quality education, the government established many institutes and training colleges from time to time to train teachers and the work of examination and evaluation of trainee teachers undergoing training in them was given to this department. Which is being conducted as it is even today.
After the establishment of State Educational Research and Training Council, Uttar Pradesh in the year 1981, this department was authorized for all the work of examination of selected trainee teachers.
