About JAM 2025:
The Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) is conducted to provide admissions to (i) M.Sc., (ii) M.Sc. (Tech.), (iii) MS (Research), (iv) M.Sc. – M.Tech. Dual Degree, (v) Joint M.Sc. – Ph.D., and (vi) M.Sc. – Ph.D. Dual Degree, at the IITs for taking up science as a career option for the students.
- It is a Computer Based Test in SEVENTest Papers at the undergraduate level. Test Papers consists of (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ),
(ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions. - Candidates may appear in ONE or TWO Test Papers. For two test
papers, the second paper must be carefully selected to avoid session clash. - Candidates in merit list are eligible for admission to around 3000 seats in various postgraduate programmes at IITs.

JAM Scorecard and Merit Lists 2025:
The results will be declared on March 19, 2025, on the JAM 2025 website. For each Test Paper, an All India Rank (AIR) will be assigned to all candidates based on their performance. Tie-Breaking: The tie-breaking criteria for awarding the ranks to candidates scoring the
same aggregate marks in a Test Paper will be as follows:
Positive-to-negative marks ratio, followed by NAT marks, and then MSQ marks.
Subsequently, if there is a tie, then DOB would be used, where, the older candidate gets better
rank.
For each Test Paper, an All India Merit list will be prepared based on AIR. The number of candidates included in the All India Merit List will depend on the total number of seats available in each category (GEN/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD) in a given subject. These candidates (henceforth called Qualified Candidates) are eligible to apply for admission to any of the corresponding academic programmes. The JAM Score card 2025 indicating the AIR and the mark obtained by the candidate will be available for download from the JAM 2025 website from April 2025 for qualified candidates.
How To Check IIT JAM Result 2025:
- Step 1: Visit the official website jam2025.iitd.ac.in.
- Step 2: By visiting the official site, you will be redirected to JOAPS portal.
- Step 3: A new JAM 2025 login page will appear on your screen.
- Step 4: On the login page, type your credentials that is your enrollment/email ID and password, and click on Submit.
- Step 5: After submitting, the JAM result 2025 Score Card page will be displayed on the screen in the form of a merit list.
- Step 6: Download it as PDF.
- Step 7: Take sufficient printouts of it for future reference.
