RPSC Librarian Grade 2 Exam Pattern 2024:-

The Examination shall carry 400 marks. There will be two papers. Both Papers shall be of 200 marks each.

[RPSC Librarian Exam Pattern Paper-I & II]

  • The question paper will carry maximum 200 marks.
  • Duration of question paper will be 2:00 Hours.
  • The question paper will carry 100 questions of multiple choices.
  • Negative marking shall be applicable in the evaluation of answers. For every wrong answer one third of the the marks prescribed for that particular question shall be deducted.
  • Explanation: Wrong answer shall mean an incorrect answer or multiple answers.
  • The minimum qualifying marks shall be 40%. Provided that the percentage fixed as above shall be relaxed by 5% for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
  • राजस्थान सिविल सेवा (भूतपूर्व सैनिक का आमेलन) नियम, 1988 तथा राजस्थान निःशक्तजन अधिकार नियम, 2018 में विहित प्रावधानानुसार भूतपूर्व सैनिकों एवं विशेष योग्यजन को न्यूनतम उत्तीर्णाकों में छूट/रियायत दी जायेगी।

Rajasthan RPSC Librarian Paper II Syllabus Subjects 2024:

  1. Universe of knowledge, Structure and Attributes, Modes of formation of subjects, Different types of subjects, Universe of subjects as mapped in different schemes of Classification.

  1. Bibliographic description. Catalog purpose, structure and types physical forms including OPAC filling rules. Normative principles of cataloging. Overview of principles of practice in document description. Current trends in standardization, description and exchange. Standard code of cataloging.

  1. Methods of knowledge organization. General theory of Library classification. Normative principles of classification and their applications. Species of Library classification. Standard schemes of classification and their features, CC, DDC, UDC. Notation: need, functions, characteristics. Design and development of schemes library classification, standard sub-division index. Trends in Library classification.

  1. Subject Classification, Principles of subject classification. Subject heading lists and their features.

उक्त पद हेतु आयोजित की जाने वाली परीक्षा के लिए ओ.एम.आर. उत्तरपत्रक में प्रश्नों के विकल्प भरने के संबंध में विशेष निर्देशः

  • 1. Each question has five options marked as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. You have to darken only one circle (bubble) indicating the correct answer on the Answer Sheet using BLUE BALL POINT PEN.
  • 2 It is mandatory to fill one option for each question.
  • 3. If you are not attempting a question then you have to darken the circle ‘5’. If none of the five circles is darkened, one third (1/3) part of the marks of question shall be deducted.
  • 4. After solving question paper, candidate must ascertain that he/she has darkened one of the circles (bubbles) for each of the questions. Extra time of 10 minutes beyond scheduled time, is provided for this.
  • 5. A candidate who has not darkened any of the five circles in more than 10% questions shall be disqualified
